One of the Hawaii restaurant’s most well-liked meals is Hawaiian Shoyu Chicken. This tender chicken has a savory and sweet flavor profile. Once you give it a try, it will quickly become one of your favorites. This is a very straightforward meal that takes around half an hour to prepare. This recipe would be ideal for your dinner table right now!

You will never find a better recipe for chicken than this one, despite its unusualness. It has an amazing balance of flavors, both sweet and salty. The best part is that you don’t even need to visit Hawaiian eateries to try it because it’s really simple to make at home whenever you want to.

Juicy Delicious Hawaiian Style Shoyu Chicken

In the Hawaiian Islands, mac salad, two scoops of rice, and Shoyu Chicken are usually served on a plate for lunch. It goes well with rice and vegetables  or our favorite corn when we prepare it at home.

Ingredients

  • Four to six chicken thighs
  • ¾ cup Aloha Shoyu brand soy sauce was used
  • ½ cup golden brown sugar
  • ½ cup water, 1 clove of garlic
  • One ginger piece
  • One green onion stalk

Let’s Cook

Take out and crush one garlic clove. Cut the ginger into roughly the size of a thumb. Slice it in half lengthwise and press the ginger pieces to extract the juices. Transfer the brown sugar, water, and soy sauce into a big pot. Ginger and crushed garlic should be added. After stirring and bringing to a boil, reduce the heat and let it simmer for five minutes. When the mixture to a boil, add the chicken thighs, cover it, and simmer for 30 to 40 minutes over medium heat.

Make sure the chicken is uniformly browned on all sides by turning it many times while it cooks. Very finely slice the green onions to garnish. Keep it for the garnish. Move the chicken pieces to a tray or bowl. Take out the ginger and garlic from the pot and skim the oil from the sauce. Cover the chicken with the sauce. Add a few scallions on the top. Top with mounds of hot, steaming white rice and serve.

I have a weakness for the kitchen; it is unquestionably my favorite space in the house. Fortunately, I enjoy eating as well—after all, who doesn’t? While dining at fine restaurants and stopping by your favorite fast food joint to grab that mouthwatering burger with lots of cheese are both enjoyable, there’s something about having a home-cooked meal that generally makes everything better
